KITTY'S story

Hi. It is nice to join in this blog. I am kind of new in blogging,so sorry for any mistakes. As a first year student studying critical appreciation it has been a wonderful experience. Although it has been just a couple of weeks studying this subject, but i am already in love with it, as well as for all the subject i am taking this semester. Life in university is wonderful as i got to meet many friends from all over Malaysia and some foreign students. My course mate is the best as i got to learn a lot from them. They are all so sweet and is always there to lend a helping hand whenever i am in problem. My lecturers is the best team of lecturers that i can ask for. Always there to guide us. I will like to thank all the lecturers for being so wonderful. Thank you from bottom of my heart to everyone. See you all soon. Take care and bye for now.

Mr Lunatic and His Share Of Onions by Onion

-Hi mate, glad to see you here. It may sounds like I am a bit crooked in mind, but then I always ask questions about every individual as well as the society. Take human instinct for example. Human beings are different from the animals as this species can think (or procrastinate, you might said)of past and future. They can be worry about every little issues in daily life till the major decisions to choose a path. Walk with 2 legs, study, get good results, interact with other homo sapiens, get engaged to another individual, marriage, print money notes and burn them to satisfy their basic living needs(some with higher production speed may burn as fierce as they like), cover or uncover their bodies to suit the situation, produce offsprings, aged, harden, crumple, disappear.

-Gone with the wind.

-I do wonder what are we capable to think of if the word "death" is no longer exist in the dictionary of mankind? We will never have a single thought on meaning of life and toss away all the thick bulky philosophies of Plato,Socrates and every dead living beings?

-Affected by formation of the full moon, I was addressed by my surrounding as "LUNAtic". It's only a paper moon, by the way. The way we interpret our ecosystem, our breeding ground.

-Want some fried onions? They are still hot.

-The world is nothing but a fugly fishbowl and we as the goldfishes choked till death of our own digestion products. We bang our head against the fishbowl and lead our life with Kafkaseque lifestyle, relying on food shelter mate and so on. We broadcast our biography as if a movie film unrolled. We as the puppets jolt our limbs according to the script and jolt and jolt and jolt until the colours fades and the knots untie.

-I can be both Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, who will give a damn about it really? Coexistence of both qualities enable the tug war between the angels and devils to continue. Hence we have fictional facts to cling on. We create human education and complicate it by throwing in prejudices and assumptions.

-A-P-P-L-E is an apple. To describe an apple, you must string the letters together in the correct order.

-I am not so bright.People said I am mentally retarded and I think it's true since more that 3 human beings addressed me like that.

-I am afraid the fact that we can do whatever we love to do is not easily understand by others. Live according to the judgments or expectations of your same-species is exhausting.

-Ok, Let's call it a day. Guess I will spread my newspaper here and sleep off the night. Thank you for listening to me, paper moon. If you need another serving of fried onions, just show your face in the sky. I will get them from the Domino Pizzas'rubbish bin.(The rich people burn them, too.)

Reading and the Reader

This is a blog post i read today which i think is relevant for us. What do we set out to discover when we read a book (or poem or play or short story, or for that matter watch a film and listen to a song)?

As Nathan Bransford, the literary agent suggests, reading engages us with the ability to know more about our self. As he says, "It's not about the book. It's about you and whether the book spoke to you."

What do you think? Do you agree?

Check out the full post and decide if he 'spoke' to you.

Words and Critical Appreciation by Onion

Hi it's me again.

Sometimes I do wonder the significance of manipulating words in order to implant ideas or concepts into readers' brain.

Squishy as they might be, readers can simply shut off their interpretation part of mind and stare blankly at the screen as if some malfunctioning laser scanner who refused to scan the details of an item, hoho.

It may sounds like the writer had reached a stage where readers are and will struggle to climb up and reach that particular jar of concepts.

Hence assumptions come in.

A assumed so-and-so press this button in order to get the machine to run.

B thought by kicking so-and-so part of the machine it will heigh ha and galloped.

C preferred "Shower Me With Your Love" kinda teaching and the machine will kneel down and repent "Sorry it's my mistake for not working!"

A machine is a machine, afterall.

Same occurred in words.

They have no heartbeats, no hunger, no thirst, no pain, no anything.

Yet they conquer EVERYTHING.

Sometimes I do wonder we as the manipulator or words.

Words said: Heigh Ha!!

Cocacola And Critical Apprieciation By Onion

I empty the Cocacola can with 3 slurps. Burp. Of course, insert advertisements in the blog post is not my intention to write on this particular blog.(Cocacola IS nice, by the way) Allow me to spread my fingers and count how many days had passed. 1,2,3....ugh,I am bad in Mathematics. Anyway, MANY MANY days had passed and I am supposed to grow up (or any direction)after the lecturer's fertilisation (don't get the wrong idea, please)and massive plantation (IF those plants are not uprooted YET)on my plain brain. Come to think about it, am I honoured to pour meaningless words which indicates nothing but my personal opinions on this blog? Well(shrug), younger generation nowadays are generally infected with the fast-food-sickness. Everything counts on efficiency and not surprisingly for us to have we-need-the-effect-NOW! kinda thinking. So, if i've to continue my writing it's going to be a waste of time as the word "productivity" is missing. "What are you trying to talk about?!" readers might ask. Hence, it's better to end it this way:

Cocacola is nice.

With the beginning of a new log
